As a child Travis was never content to smash his action figures together in senseless combat. Instead, he would spread them across the house and combine plots from several Saturday morning cartoons to methodically play out his own day-long epic adventure. By age ten he had started committing the odysseys in his mind to paper.
During his teenage years he fell in love with the theatre and became enamored of the power of actors have to tell stories. At eighteen he made his first indie film. He has gone on to write and produce more than 30 movies, many of which picked up awards at film festivals you've never heard of. His scripts for the stage have been produced by dance companies and community theatre groups.
He holds a bachelor's degree in General Studies and master's degree in Library Science. He has worked as a professional archivist in academic libraries for over a decade and his non-fiction work has been published by the Society of American Archivists and American Association of Law Librarians.
Originally from Louisiana, Travis is now based in Austin, where he can usually be found rehearsing a show, playing a geeky board game, training for his next 10k, or volunteering with cosplay-for-charity groups. He is a member of the Writers' League of Texas.
